Okay, so I rarely post any content on Tumblr other than a million re-blogs from content that I enjoy…But I thought I needed to do a quick appreciation post for the Japanese manga series Naruto. Naruto, written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto , is a tale of a ( in the beginning ) a young boy who constantly searches for recognition and dreams to become the Hokage, the ninja in his village who is acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all. He is looked down on by the entire village due to the fact that his father had sealed the Nine Tailed Fox Spirit inside of him. He got into mischief just to get attention and slowly throughout his journey in becoming a ninja in Part 1 : Naruto and Part 2 : Naruto:Shippuden, he soon becomes recognized as the hero of the fourth great ninja war by everyone and finally re acquaintances with his best friend, Sasuke Uchiha , who had previously left the village because of the dark emotions he felt and his desire to become stronger and avenge his clan by killing his older brother Itachi Uchiha. In the end of the manga of Naruto, in which the chapters were released today ( November 6th 2014 ) he becomes hokage and the series comes to a tear jerking and overall satisfying and beautiful close. The manga series of Naruto was first published by Shueisha in 1999 in the 43rd issue of Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and will end in Japan on November 10th, 2014 in the 50th issue of Jump. I myself have been a fan of the series since i was as young as eight years old and watched Naruto when it first aired on TV in the U.S. in 2005 on Cartoon Network/Toonami. As I aged into the young adult I am now ( Sixteen years old ) I’ve watched the anime subbed and dubbed online , read the manga chapters in the shonen jump issues and when I could not anymore because my subscription had ended I read them online every week and collected Naruto toys, DVD’s, and manga volumes. I always watched a rerun of a Naruto or Naruto : Shippuden episode if I came across it on TV. Naruto was my #1 anime as a child and still and always will be today. I collected all the video games and played them to completion across many titles on systems such as the nintendo gamecube, PS2, Wii, DS, and Xbox 360 with some of my favorite titles being Naruto ultimate ninja 3 and the Naruto Shippuden ultimate ninja storm series. Following the manga series as I do, reading the new Naruto manga chapter typically almost every Wednesday was like a daily routine to me. Upon hearing about a month ago that Naruto was going to end in 5 weeks I could not believe it ! I mean , I knew they were on the final arc of the story but I just could not get myself to come to terms with the fact that A part of me and my everyday lifewas going to end. I continued from then every week reading the new chapters and loved every bit of them. Naruto has always been my favorite action series and I personally believe it has a near perfect plot and all the emotion and lessons that you take away from each chapter with you are astounding ! I woke up this morning and went about my daily routine to find the final two chapters 699 and 700 ( full color ) concluding the series have been released and I read them and shared my reaction with a few friends. Each page blew my expectations away and wrapped up my favorite series by showing how peace was finally brought to the Village in the Dancing leaves and the pairings of all the characters and their children ( the next generation ) was heart warming. It was a real nice way to wrap up a beautiful long running manga series and I was so happy after reading it and continued my day. It wasn't until later when I watched the new Naruto: Shippuden anime episode when it hit me and my denial of the series’s conclusion died. I started to burst into tears during the opening theme of the anime, there is a small segment in the current opening where it shows many scenes of earlier arcs in the story which made me reflect on each time in my life where I was following Naruto and how long I and the series has come and it really did hit me hard. I could not stop crying the whole episode ! Haha, I guess i’m more of a “ hardcore fan ” than I thought. Upon completion of the episode I thought this post was necessary to just convey my love for Naruto as whole. Today, there are many anime and manga series that are very entertaining and fun to watch with friends, for laughs, for thrills, or to see some good action but what really sets apart a entertaining anime from a compelling tale that etches itself into the heart of the viewer so that they will never forget what they have experienced for their entire lives that when it finally ends they cannot fathom it ? Well, that is a question that can be interpreted differently by anyone who tries to answer it but for me, Ryan Rod, it’s a series like Naruto. I will continue to support the series and watch the new anime episodes until the anime’s conclusion and i’m sure Naruto ( even though it is over ) will continue as one of the most popular and best anime out there for a long time. True anime never die and if a series is good enough it will be talked about and adored by it’s fans for generations to come. Thank you Masashi Kishimoto, for changing the course and outlook of my entire life with this amazing and truly inspiring tale. I can not express my gratitude enough and even though only a few people may read this, I don’t care, Naruto, the number 1 hyper active knuckle head ninja will live as a part of me for the rest of my life - It really is SO hard to say goodbye.
-Thank you Masashi Kishimoto
I got an Xbox One this Christmas and I think it needs a lot of updates for improvement, like fixing the achievements, glitches and bugs, and for the love of good we need online notifications!
PROS:
The console runs great and is very fast at switching between games and apps, the graphics are also very good so no complaints with how anything looks. The controller is great and they did an awesome job on the D-pad and analog sticks. The system is nice looking in my opinion and the layout if really nice for an organization freak such as myself. There are many ways to customize your profile and layout such as change the color of notifications and all the gamer pics. They also added a share option to record game clips and you can like and share achievements and game-play on you and your friends activity feed.
CONS:
So far my experience with my new video game console has been horrendous! Far worse than I had anticipated! Upon getting started and putting my account on the console Christmas day, The Live servers were flooded with DDOS artificial traffic fucking up my connection. Two days later the attacks stopped and i got my account on the console and realized upon putting Halo:The Master Chief Collection in, that you need to install every game and you cannot just play it off the disc…THEN WHATS THE POINT OF BUYING THE DISC! So after the system start up update it took off around 130 of my total “500 GB” and after installing Halo: MCC (Which took 7-8 hours) I was down to 290 GB because Halo: MCC’s install was around 80 GB. In no time I will have no memory left and will get another 4 games out of this console before I need to set up an external hard drive. Unbelievable! What a ripoff! So I now have 3 games, Halo:MCC,COD: advanced warfare, and Metro Redux installed and only 242 GB remain. HOW IS THIS A CONSOLE!? My biggest complaint are the achievements not unlocking half of the time! During my first play through of Halo combat evolved on Halo: MCC I didn’t receive half of the achievements I was supposed to get until days after completing the task of unlocking them. Some achievements including finding some of the hidden skulls never even unlocked yet even though I have the achievement for getting all the skulls. The achievements that don’t unlock right away appear in the locked section as “Done!Unlocking…” and don’t fucking unlock. I’ve also had this problem with one of the achievements in Call of duty : AW. Also when you are in an Xbox Live Party it can just stop communication between you and whoever you are talking to and the only known fix I’ve found is to restart your Xbox one until they can hear you and you can hear them! Also expect many, many glitches. For example…If you buy Minecraft Xbox 360 edition on the same account as your Xbox one’s account then go to buy Minecraft: Xbox One edition, its supposed to only be 4.99$ to upgrade. I’ve had the 360 Edition since 2012 and almost all it’s DLC, but on the Xbox one it appears as 19.99$ (full price) So after being on Xbox supports phone line for and hour and a half AND back and forth on Xbox supports Twitter page the assistant on the phone told me I met all requirements for getting the game at the price of 4.99$ but he could not change the price. So now I have to buy the game for full price 20$ plus tax… (although he did give me two free months of Xbox Live Gold for not being able to help.)
OVERALL SCORE 6.5/10
